Spending Your Retirement
Balancing Act
Most people classify retirement as their ultimate goal, but how many have ever really spent time thinking about how to plan for retirement?
Try this: Think of retirement planning as simply a balance between your financial resources and your lifestyle. As a matter of fact, isn't that balance the most difficult one to accomplish in our daily lives? Are we not always trading off, consciously or unconsciously, our todays for our tomorrows? For example, purchasing that larger home with the bigger monthly mortgage payment may mean that a lot less will be set aside for retirement.
Here is a tip Maintaining this balance is one of the secrets to successful financial planning. When you received a pay increase in the past, did all or any of that additional money go into your checking account every month, or into a tax-qualified investment? The less you make, or the less you THINK you make, the less you spend.
